How to Prioritize

Here’s how to cut out all the noise and focus on the really important things in life.

Are you ready?

It’s this…

You’re going to die soon.

Ok, hopefully you’re not going to die today or tomorrow, and not for many years yet. But that doesn’t mean you have infinite time ahead of you.

You don’t. You really don’t.

None of us do.

We are a flutter of a moth’s wing in the grand theatre of the universe.

You’re going to die soon.

Imagine, some wise looking guy (lets imagine Gandalf from Lord of the Rings) pulls you aside while you’re out doing your daily shop and whispers into your ear, “I know things. Today is your last day. Tomorrow it’s all over”.

What would you do?

You’d abandon your shopping trolley, run out the store, and start doing the things that really mattered.

Spending the last few hours with your kids, calling your best friends, calling that relative you find it hard to speak to, writing a poem or a song, looking up into the night sky, and realizing you’re a part of the stars and everything and that you’ll be going back to dust soon.

Godspeed, my friend.
